Faisal Bhabha

Faisal Bhabha

Faisal Bhabha is an Associate Professor at Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto, Canada. He also serves as the Faculty Director of the Canadian Common Law LLM degree program. He has researched and published in the areas of constitutional law, multiculturalism, law and religion, disability rights, national security and access to justice. He teaches constitutional law, human rights, legal ethics, and appellate advocacy.

Brenda Culbert

Brenda Culbert is a human rights lawyer, mediator, and workplace investigator, having been called to the Bar of British Columbia in 1994 and the Bar of Ontario in 1996. Brenda has primarily worked in the social justice public sector within the community legal clinic system and she was Senior Counsel at the Ontario Human Rights Legal Support Centre between 2008 and 2019. Brenda has also previously worked in the school board sector as part of a Human Rights and Equity Advisor initiative supported by the Ministry of Education where she conducted investigations into human rights complaints as a neutral. 


Brian Eyolfson

Brian Eyolfson is a lawyer who practices alternative dispute resolution, providing independent investigation, mediation and arbitration services, primarily in the area of human rights law. He has a B.Sc. in psychology and an LL.B. from Queen’s University, and an LL.M., specializing in administrative law, from Osgoode Hall Law School. He was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 1994.

Mihad Fahmy is a human rights lawyer and workplace investigator based in London, Ontario. In her investigations practice, she has conducted a wide range of complex investigations into allegations of sexual harassment, human rights violations, workplace bullying and other forms of workplace misconduct. She works with clients to develop a clear mandate and prioritizes the transparency of the investigation process for all parties involved. Gordon Fitzgerald

Gordon Fitzgerald is a mediator, facilitator, and labour and employment lawyer.  He graduated from the University of Western Ontario and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2000. Gordon has extensive experience in all areas of human resources law including human rights, WSIB, collective bargaining, and occupational health & safety issues. After practicing with one of Canada’s leading labour and employment law firms, Gordon worked in-house in both the private and public sectors before commencing a dedicated mediation practice at Fitzgerald Dispute Resolution.

Michael Gottheil

Mediator, Investigator, Adjudicator

Michael Gottheil has extensive experience and expertise as an adjudicator, mediator and educator in the fields of human rights, administrative, labour and employment law. From 2005 to 2018, Michael served as Chair of the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, Executive Chair of the Environment and Land Tribunals Ontario and the Social Justice Tribunals Ontario. In 2018 he was appointed as Chief of Commission and Tribunals of the Alberta Human Rights Commission, a post he held until November 2021. 


Runako Gregg

Runako Gregg is a human rights lawyer and workplace investigator who specializes in discrimination and harassment issues, with an emphasis on anti-racism initiatives. He recently served as Legal Counsel with the Ontario Human Rights Legal Support Centre where he represented complainants during mediations and hearings with the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario.


Mark Hart

Mediator, Investigator, Adjudicator

Mark Hart has over 20 years of experience as a mediator, adjudicator and investigator, with a focus on human rights, employment and labour issues. Most recently, Mark was a Vice-Chair at the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario for 12 years from 2007 to 2019, where he conducted hundreds of mediations and hearings primarily in the employment and labour sectors. He has written hundreds of decisions, including leading decisions on a variety of human rights, employment and labour issues.

Milé Komlen

Milé Komlen is a Dedicated Neutral with a practice as an independent mediator, investigator and adjudicator. He is currently the Managing Director of Ethical Associates Inc. In this role, he advises institutional clients on conflict resolution strategies and maintains a roster of skilled mediators, adjudicators, and investigators to facilitate resolution services. He also provides expertise on the resolution of “deep conflict” through his mediation and investigation practice.


Bernard Morrow

Bernard Morrow is a mediator, arbitrator, workplace investigator and dispute resolution consultant. Bernard has conducted more than 1500 mediations over 25 years of practice. His areas of focus as a mediator include workplace and human rights disputes.


Shari Novick

Mediator, Investigator, Adjudicator, Arbitrator

Shari Novick has been involved in resolving disputes as a “neutral” since 1991. She was an Adjudicator with the Office of Adjudication / Ontario Labour Relations Board for six years, and later served as an Arbitrator at the Financial Services Commission of Ontario for three years. Her experience on these statutory tribunals provided her with solid and valuable skills in addressing workplace disputes, as well as personal injury and other insurance-related claims.

N. Nicole Nussbaum

N. Nicole Nussbaum

Neshama Nicole Nussbaum is a lawyer based in London, Ontario and has a particular focus on, and extensive experience with, law and policy issues related to gender identity and gender expression. Formerly a sole practitioner practicing in the areas of employment, human rights, and family law, Nicole joined Legal Aid Ontario in December 2012 and assists unrepresented litigants navigate a wide variety of family law issues. She also acts as project lead of the TransForming Justice project, a legal needs assessment of trans people in Ontario, which is administered by the HIV & Aids Legal Clinic Ontario with funding from Legal Aid Ontario and the Ontario HIV Treatment Network.


Kabir Ravindra

Kabir Ravindra is a professional mediator, adjudicator and human rights lawyer, having been called to the Bar of Ontario in 2002. He recently served as an independent adjudicator for the Indian Residential Schools Adjudication Secretariat, which was the quasi-judicial process for confidential claims by individual Indigenous survivors of the residential school system in Canada, running in conjunction with the more public-facing Truth and Reconciliation Commission. As one of the more active adjudicators on this unique specialized tribunal, Kabir resolved some 500 residential schools abuse claims between 2010 and 2019, when the tribunal was wound down.

Qajaq Robinson is a human rights lawyer and workplace investigator, specializing in the investigation of discrimination, harassment, and sexual harassment complaints in a variety of community and institutional settings. Licenced to practice law in Nunavut and Ontario, Qajaq specializes in restorative justice, administrative law, and creative forms of alternative dispute resolution.


Marshall Schnapp

Mediator, Investigator, Adjudicator

Marshall Schnapp was called to the bar in 1996.  He has a diverse dispute resolution profile and has practiced as litigator, mediator, and arbitrator.  Marshall has also worked as an Ombudsman and conducted workplace investigations.

He was recently appointed as the first Chair of the Complaint and Resolution Council for Student Societies (“CRCSS”) at the University of Toronto.


Samantha Seabrook

Samantha Seabrook uses a candid and equitable approach to investigations and conciliation that engenders the trust and respect of all parties. Samantha draws on her experience as a labour and employment lawyer to drive a fair and open investigation process.


Grace Vaccarelli

Grace Vaccarelli is a human rights lawyer, mediator, and workplace investigator, having been called to the Bar of Ontario in 2001 after receiving her LL.B. degree from Queen’s University. Grace has worked exclusively in the social justice public sector. Prior to joining Ethical Associates, Grace was Senior Counsel and Manager of Legal Services at the Ontario Human Rights Legal Support Centre between 2008 and 2019.


Laura Wilson-Lewis


Laura Wilson-Lewis is a human rights lawyer, conflict resolution practitioner, and workplace investigator, having been called to the Bar of Ontario in 2016. In her practice, she conducts investigations at various post-secondary academic institutions and provides guidance to School Boards on formal and informal resolutions as a Dedicated Neutral.
