Roster of Independent Practitioners

Ethical Associates Inc. maintains a roster of diverse human rights lawyers, equity practitioners and adjudicators who work independently and are available to serve as dedicated neutrals in the resolution of complex disputes. Investigator

Laura served as the Equity Officer on the student council at Osgoode Hall Law School, and in 2016-2018, she served as Board Member of the Canadian Association of Black Lawyers as the co-chair of the Young Lawyers’ Division and a member of the Advocacy Committee.

Laura Wilson-Lewis is a human rights lawyer, conflict resolution practitioner, and workplace investigator, having been called to the Bar of Ontario in 2016. In her practice, she conducts investigations at various post-secondary academic institutions and provides guidance to School Boards on formal and informal resolutions as a Dedicated Neutral.

 

Prior to joining Ethical Associates, Laura was Associate Counsel in the Equity Initiatives Department at the Law Society of Ontario. Laura advised on internal and external matters relating to issues of equity, diversity, inclusion and accommodation. She also reviewed, drafted and implemented policy initiatives and provided policy support to two committees of the Board of Directors (Benchers).

 

In her previous role, Laura was an Investigator with the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, where she conducted investigations into complaints about the conduct and practice standards of its dentists licensed to practice in Ontario. Laura served as the Equity Officer on the student council at Osgoode Hall Law School, and in 2016-2018, she served as Board Member of the Canadian Association of Black Lawyers as the co-chair of the Young Lawyers’ Division and a member of the Advocacy Committee.
