Roster of Independent Practitioners

Ethical Associates Inc. maintains a roster of diverse human rights lawyers, equity practitioners and adjudicators who work independently and are available to serve as dedicated neutrals in the resolution of complex disputes. Mediator, Investigator

Throughout her practice, x has worked with diverse communities providing direct services to clients with a commitment to enhancing access to justice.

xx is a human rights lawyer, mediator, and workplace investigator, having been called to the Bar of British Columbia in 1994 and the Bar of Ontario in 1996. She attended Western University where she earned both her undergraduate degree and her LL.B. degree. xx has primarily worked in the social justice public sector within the community legal clinic system and she was Senior Counsel at the Ontario Human Rights Legal Support Centre between 2008 and 2019. xx has also previously worked in the school board sector as part of a Human Rights and Equity Advisor initiative supported by the Ministry of Education where she conducted investigations into human rights complaints as a neutral.

Throughout her practice, xx has worked with diverse communities providing direct services to clients with a commitment to enhancing access to justice. She worked for almost a decade in the community legal clinic system addressing income support and disability, social assistance, housing, and human rights. xx gained extensive practice experience and in-depth human rights knowledge dealing with varied and complex human rights matters when she joined the Human Rights Legal Support Centre in 2008. She has worked with education professionals on policy development and review and promoted equity, diversity, inclusion and accommodation initiatives for staff and students in the education sector.

xx has developed and presented human rights training for a variety of audiences including legal and education professionals. As a dedicated neutral, Brenda approaches her work with integrity and care, and she makes every effort to ensure a transparent and fair process for all participants.
